By accessing, using, or interacting with our platform in any way, including but not limited to, registering for an account, making a booking, or using any of our services, you explicitly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, process, and disclose your personal data. • "Rental Information" shall mean and include all data pertaining to a user’s engagement with the services provided by HUM Mobility (OPC) Private Limited. This includes, but is not limited to, details of vehicle preferences, historical and ongoing rental activity, booking records, and all financial data directly or indirectly related to such rental activities. Financial data shall specifically include, without limitation, details of payment methods utilized, transaction amounts, transaction dates, invoices, receipts, and any other records related to monetary exchanges or obligations incurred during the use of the platform. The collection, storage, and processing of such data shall be strictly for the purposes of administering rental transactions, maintaining financial records, resolving disputes arising therefrom, and ensuring compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory obligations.

• "Technical Data" refers to information automatically collected from your device, including IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and usage patterns related to the platform.
• "Location Data" refers to geolocation information provided by your device, with your explicit consent, for purposes such as optimizing service delivery and location-based support.

• "Services" refers to the electric vehicle rental services offered by HUM Mobility (OPC) Private Limited, including booking, renting, and supporting EV rentals.

• "User" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the HUM Mobility (OPC) Private Limited platform for the purpose of renting electric vehicles.

• "You," "Your" refers to the user of the platform, who is subject to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy.

1.2. Rental Information: We collect detailed information related to Your rental activity on the platform, which may include but is not limited to:

• Vehicle type and model, rental partners facilitating the booking, rental history, booking records (active bookings, completed, cancelled, or declined by the rental partner), and transaction records related to such rentals.

This information is critical for enabling rental transactions, tracking service performance, and ensuring compliance with operational and legal requirements.

1.3 Technical Data: We may automatically collect technical data from the devices used to access our platform. Such data includes but is not limited to:

• Device-specific identifiers, IP addresses, operating system details, browser types, and version information.
• Usage patterns, such as the frequency of access, interaction logs, session durations, clickstream data, and error reports.

• Tracking vehicles during active rentals via Mobile GPS technology or vehicle-embedded GPS systems to monitor fleet performance and ensure operational efficiency.
• Optimizing service delivery by providing location-based support during the rental period.
• Managing and enhancing our fleet’s availability and operational oversight through vehicle-specific GPS data.

This data is essential for ensuring service quality and assisting You effectively throughout the rental experience.

1.5 Active Rental Tracking

During an active rental period, HUM tracks the rented vehicle via Mobile GPS technology and vehicle-embedded GPS systems. This tracking is undertaken to:

• Monitor vehicle location for operational safety, theft prevention, and recovery.
• Facilitate real-time support to Users and rental partners during the active rental period.
• Ensure compliance with rental terms and conditions.

This tracking is conducted solely during the active rental period and ceases upon the rental's conclusion.

1.6 Payment and Transaction History:

We collect and maintain comprehensive records of Your payment and transaction history, including but not limited to:

• Details of rental transactions, payment methods used, transaction amounts, and dates.
• Reports generated from these records, which may be shared with rental partners for financial tracking and reconciliation purposes.

This data is critical for processing rentals, resolving payment-related issues, ensuring accurate financial accounting, and enabling rental partners to track and manage financial aspects related to their operations.

2. How we use this information

2.1. Service Provision: Your data is used to process bookings, manage rental transactions, and provide you with the access to our EV rental services.

2.2. Service Enhancement: We analyse user activity and technical data to improve the functionality, security, and overall performance of our platform.

2.3. Community Building We may use your contact information to send service-related updates, promotional communications, or other relevant notifications. You may opt out of receiving promotional messages by following the instructions provided in the communication or contacting us.

2.4. Security and Compliance: We process your data to ensure utmost platform security, prevent fraud, and comply with all the legal and regulatory obligations that are at present or may arise thereon in the near future over the platform.

This may include service providers in technology, operations, legal, compliance, marketing, and other relevant sectors.

3.1 Legal Compliance: Your data may be disclosed to governmental or judicial authorities as or when required to comply with the legal obligations, court orders, or in order to protect the rights and property belonging to HUM, its users, or the general public at large.

3.2 Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets between HUM Mobility and other entities, the company retains its rights to transfer your information to the acquiring entity as part of the transaction.

Access and update: You will retain the right to access and update your personal information through navigating into the My Account into edit profile section. 

Opt-out: You may opt-out of receiving promotional communications by following the instructions to unsubscribe provided in the emails of the company. Further the user is also allowed to opt out through directly contacting the company in this regard while complying with the directions as provided by the company through its channel.

Location Data: To provide you with the best possible service and experience, the company recommends and requires you to grant permission for HUM Mobility (OPC) Private Limited to access your device's location data. This is essential not only for optimizing rental service delivery and providing location-based support during the rental period, but also for tracking and managing our fleet of electric vehicles via mobile GPS technology.

By using our platform, you acknowledge and consent to sharing your location data with HUM, as this access is critical for the operation of our services, including vehicle tracking and ensuring efficient fleet management. You are required to allow location access for the full functionality of the services we provide.

If you wish to manage or revoke location permissions, you can do so through your device settings, but please note that doing so may limit or prevent you from using certain features of our platform.

5. Security of your Information

We implement industry-standard safeguards, including encryption, firewalls, and secure data storage protocols, to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. However, despite the implementation of the present measures, it is to be noted that no system can guarantee complete security for which HUM Mobility shall not be held liable for.

6. Data-Retention

Your data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, or as mandated by applicable laws and regulations. You may initiate the process to delete your account at any time through the mobile app. Once you initiate the account deletion process, your personal data will be securely deleted or anonymized as part of the process. Until the account deletion process is completed, your data will remain with HUM Mobility (OPC) Private Limited.

If the data retention period prescribed by law extends beyond the account deletion request, we will retain your data as required by applicable regulations. Once the retention period expires, any remaining data will be securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Amendments to this Privacy Policy

The company possess the right to alter and amend the present privacy policy along with altercating or changing any or all of the clauses/sub-clauses present in the agreement time to time to reflect changes in its practices or in compliance to the legal requirements presently in force or which may arise in the future. We will notify you with any significant changes by posting the policy on our platform and updating the effective date
